Visit the Rose Hall Great House which is a classic 18th century sugar plantation mansion built on the shores of Montego Bay in 1780. However, this is more than a pretty house, its last mistress, Annie Palmer (the White Witch of Rose Hall) is an infamous figure in Jamaican history and the house also tells her story. A practitioner of voodoo, the Haitian art of black magic, Palmer presided over her plantation and the slaves who worked it in a cruel and was met with a violent death in a slave uprising in 1831. Top that off at your next spot, luminous Lagoon Glistening Waters is one of the world's largest concentrations of bio luminescent micro organisms exists at Luminous Lagoon at Glistening Waters in Falmouth, Jamaica. This lagoon, surrounded by mangroves, is home to microscopic organisms that emit a phosphorescent light when the water is agitated. Plan your trip for dusk and then take a boat ride onto the lagoon. As the water is disturbed, you'll see an eerie light illuminating the waters below.
